Whether traveling for business or pleasure, Governor’s Land residents have ready access to air and ground transportation. Air transportation is provided through three conveniently located airports with modern facilities and ample parking. For those who prefer to travel by rail, Amtrak provides efficient service from Williamsburg to Washington, DC and beyond.
Richmond International Airport (RIC). Within 55 minutes of Governor’s Land, the Richmond International Airport is a modern, well-equipped facility that has recently undergone a major expansion of the terminal and parking garage. The airport is served by AirTran, American Airlines, Continental Airlines, Delta, JetBlue Airways, Northwest Airlines, Skybus, US Airways and United Airlines.
Norfolk International Airport (ORF). Located 55 minutes from Governor’s Land, the Norfolk International Airport is modern and efficient. It is served by American Airlines, Continental Airlines, Delta, Northwest Airlines, Southwest Airlines, United Express and US Airways.
Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport (PHF). Within 30 minutes of Governor’s Land, the incredibly convenient Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport is served by AirTran, Delta and US Airways.
Williamsburg Jamestown Airport (JGG). For the private pilot, the Williamsburg Jamestown Airport is just 15 minutes from Governor's Land. The service line is available from early morning to dusk. Other services include: airframe maintenance, Shell aviation fuel, tie down and hanger space and a pilot shop.
