TWO RIVERS WOMEN’S GOLF ASSOCIATION
Formed to promote and encourage interest in the game of golf, to instill confidence in competitive play, and to familiarize players with the rules of the game, the Two Rivers Women's Golf Association offers members this and so much more - including friendship, goodwill and the joy of the game.
Wednesday is Ladies’ Play Day. Players can elect to join and play with either the 9-hole or 18-hole group. Each group assesses a minimal yearly fee that is used for tournaments and year-end awards.
In addition to numerous and varied at-home events, ladies who join the 9-hole group have the opportunity to play in invitationals at many other clubs in the area. Women in the 18-hole golf association play in at-home events and can also participate in numerous competitive events such as the much anticipated Women’s Williamsburg Cup, Home and Homes, Tidewater Team Matches and Women’s Tidewater Golf Association matches, as well as various invitationals.

For the serious golfer, the Women’s Williamsburg Cup is a competition between Ford’s Colony Country Club, Williamsburg Country Club, Kingsmill Country Club and Two Rivers Country Club. This coveted tournament offers local bragging rights for the champion.
Interclub Social Events. Called Home and Homes, these interclub social events are a series of golf matches with Ford’s Colony, Williamsburg Country Club and The Golden Horseshoe. Four tournaments are held each year. They are designed with fun in mind.
Tidewater Team Matches. On a regional scale, the Tidewater Team Matches are comprised of six matches, played during the month of April, between golfers from 12 regional clubs. The Women’s Tidewater Golf Association was founded in 1924. Membership is by invitation and is limited to women with a handicap of 20 or less. The Association holds monthly competitions.
